Full time President CEO

Job Description

HF Care is a non-profit organization dedicated to championing culturally rooted mental healthcare for people from East and Southeast Asian communities across the Greater Toronto Area. Their work advances a vision of connected communities where every person can live their fullest, most meaningful life.  Everything they do is guided by their values of Belonging, Dignity, Courage, Hope, and Relations.  HF Care is entering an important period of growth and evolution. We are expanding our reach, strengthening our organizational foundation, and elevating what culturally responsive mental health services can look like in the GTA and beyond.

President and Chief Executive Officer

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO will lead HF Care's next chapter of growth, impact, and organizational development. With accountability for programs, people, operations, finances, risk management, and the HF Care Foundation, the CEO will steward the mission, strengthen organizational capacity, and position HF Care as a leading voice in culturally responsive community mental health.  This is an opportunity for a strategic, values-driven executive who can see the big picture while remaining deeply connected to the communities HF Care serves. The CEO will balance vision with execution, anticipating changes in the healthcare and social-services landscape, establishing clear priorities, and aligning people, resources, and partnerships to achieve meaningful and sustainable results.

The Ideal Candidate

HF Care's next President & CEO will be an accomplished executive who combines strategic vision, operational discipline, and highly developed relationship skills.  They will understand complex health and social-service environments and have demonstrated success leading organizations through growth and change. Able to move comfortably between long-term strategy and immediate organizational priorities, they will make thoughtful decisions informed by data, experience, community needs, and sound judgment.  The successful candidate will be a trusted and credible relationship builder who can engage effectively with Boards, employees, government, funders, donors, healthcare partners, and community leaders. They will bring strong financial and organizational acumen, along with the ability to attract and develop talented people, empower leaders, and build a culture of collaboration and accountability. They will bring a culturally informed understanding of the mental health experiences, stigma, and access barriers within East and Southeast Asian communities; and a solid grounding in diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, paired with the ability to operationalize them across day-to-day organizational practice. Above all, they will lead with integrity, humility, courage, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness, with a genuine commitment to HF Care's mission and to the importance of culturally rooted and responsive mental healthcare.

This is an opportunity to lead an organization with a meaningful mission at an important point in its evolution. HF Care's next President & CEO will help strengthen the organization, expand its impact and partnerships, and influence the future of culturally responsive mental healthcare in the GTA and beyond.  If you are a strategic and compassionate leader who believes strong organizations and strong communities are built through belonging, dignity, courage, hope, and relationships, we invite you to consider this opportunity.

The proposed compensation range for the role is $160,000-$200,000.
