About the Position
As a Registered Nurse, you will plan and provide direct nursing care to patients/residents in the hospital or in the community in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies and the BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
When applicants have completed this specialty training they will be moved into a regular position within the Specialty department. The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
There is an 18 month return of service requirement as a regular/permanent employee within the Island Health specialty department for which they have been trained.
