Learn more about this role and apply: https://islandhealth.hua.hrsmart.com/hr/ats/Posting/view/128557 The Operating Room is often overlooked as an area to specialize in, however, there is nowhere else at this point in my career I would consider working. The ability to devote one hundred percent of my attention and care to one patient at a time is invaluable. I may be biased, but my colleagues are the best anyone could ask for. We are likeminded with patients being our number one priority. Everyone is driven to do their best and to support one another. We work extremely hard but have fun while doing so. Outside of work I can be found on my mountain bike in the trails, surrounded by lush green forests, views of the mountains and the ocean. An epic bike ride can be followed up with a beverage from one of our various local restaurants. Although the Comox Valley may be considered a small town compared to other areas on Vancouver Island, we have a variety of delectable restaurants and amenities to enjoy. An average day in the Valley can easily include activities in the ocean, mountains, lakes and rivers. I feel very fortunate to live and work in the beautiful Comox Valley.     - Ashleigh, RN, CVH Operating Room
