Director, Client Operations
Helping Hands Healthcare (HHH) has provided healthcare staffing and care services across Ontario for almost 30 years. A contracted provider with Ontario Health atHome, HHH delivers government-funded home and community care, hospital-to-home programs, hospital staffing, long-term care and retirement staffing, travel assignments, and private. care. Recognized with the Highest Standard of Excellence in healthcare staffing, the organization works with a roster of approximately 2,500 RNs, RPNs, and PSWs.
HHH is entering a pivotal period of growth. Building on an established hospital staffing business, the organization is actively expanding its home and community care services to diversify its business and extend its reach across Ontario. With significant contracts secured and demand continuing to grow, HHH is strengthening and scaling its operations to support this next stage of development. The new Director, Client Operations (Director) will be central to this work, building the operational infrastructure and workforce capacity required for sustainable growth.
The Position
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer and serving as a member of the Leadership Team, the Director will provide operational leadership across HHH's diverse portfolio of services. The mandate combines optimizing the established hospital staffing business with building and scaling its growing home and community care operations. The Director will establish the operating model, systems, procedures, workforce capacity, and organizational infrastructure required to support sustainable growth while maintaining quality, responsiveness, continuity of care, and a positive experience for clients and care providers.
Working at both strategic and operational levels, the Director will take ownership of how operations is structured and delivered. This is a hands-on mandate requiring a leader prepared to work alongside the team, understand the operational detail, and drive solutions through implementation. They will strengthen service coordination and workforce deployment, advance the use of technology and data, and build the team and organizational capabilities required to support increasing scale and complexity.
While home and community care will be a significant early focus, the Director will maintain operational oversight over all client services. Working closely with Clinical and Professional Practice, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Business Development, they will ensure operational execution aligns with quality, workforce, financial, contractual, and growth priorities, while providing clear insight into performance, risk, and capacity.
This is an opportunity for a builder who is energized by creating structure, developing teams, solving complex operational challenges, and turning growth opportunities into sustainable operations.
The Person
The ideal candidate is an experienced operations leader with progressive leadership experience in home and community care, healthcare staffing, or a similarly complex healthcare service environment, together with an understanding of the evolving home care landscape. They understand the operational realities of workforce planning, scheduling, capacity management, and service delivery across dispersed geographies, including rural and remote communities. Experience with AlayaCare or a comparable care management platform, along with the ability to advance technology adoption and data-informed decision-making, is important.
The successful candidate combines strategic perspective with a practical, hands-on leadership style and is equally comfortable setting direction, working alongside the team, and moving priorities forward. They are a builder and problem solver who takes ownership, creates structure where it does not yet exist, and carries solutions through implementation. A credible and supportive people leader, they develop strong teams, strengthen accountability, mentor others, and foster a culture of performance, responsiveness, and service excellence.
With strong business and financial acumen, they work effectively across functions and build trusted relationships with clients, funders, partners, and care providers. They are comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities shift and opportunities emerge. Above all, they are motivated by the opportunity to build the operational capacity that will support HHH's continued growth.
