Program Description:
The Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) provides timely, low-barrier access to specialized mental health care. An interdisciplinary team delivers assessment, brief intervention, and stabilization supports for individuals in crisis. The clinic aims to reduce pressure on emergency departments and enhance continuity of care across the system. Services are delivered in close collaboration with partners, including police, paramedics, and local emergency departments.
This Nurse Practitioner (NP) position will have a strong focus on delivering mental health care to patients presenting to the UCC. The role will support triage, perform assessments and provide brief follow-up treatment as appropriate. The ideal candidate is skilled in crisis intervention and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
