Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: Candidates must have completed the Medication Administration via Central Line module (CVC, PICC, or IVAD) within the CLPNA Restricted Activities and Advanced Authorizations framework. Demonstrated strong assessment, organizational, and patient care skills. The ability to communicate clinical findings clearly and accurately. Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities, along with the capacity to identify their own learning needs and seek guidance in areas where additional knowledge or support is required. In this position, you will be on your feet for an extended period of time (both walking and standing), and you must be able to assist in transporting, lifting and positioning of patients. You will also be required to bend, lift, push, and pull equipment. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have a minimum of one year of LPN experience in an Emergency Department, with additional preference given to those who have worked in a tertiary care setting or who have recent acute or critical care experience within the past two years.
