Hôpital Mattawa Hospital (HMH) has a proud tradition of care. For more than 130 years, HMH has cared for the people of Mattawa, surrounding communities, and beyond. Residing in the heart of a beautiful cottage country on the shores of both the Mattawa and Ottawa Rivers, we offer healthcare not only to our community residents but to the many visitors who frequent our beautiful area year round. The leadership team of HMH also has management responsibility for the Algonquin Nursing Home, a home-like long-term care facility that has been serving the most vulnerable in our community for over 40 years. At HMH and ANH, the needs and expectations of the patient, the resident and their family are at the heart of our actions.
We are recognized as a leading health care resource through innovation, partnerships and education, inspired by our founders’ The Sisters of Charity of Ottawa. Our vision, "Together, Guided by Medicine, Inspired by Faith, in a Place called Home" is a commitment to our founding values. We are a proud member of the Catholic Health Sponsors of Ontario.
HMH is a 19 bed primary care hospital and ANH operates 73 long-term care beds. Additionally, we operate a Family Health Team. We are proud to offer care in both official languages.
