Since 1995, Hospice Vaughan, a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization, has been helping people with life-limiting illnesses live fully in comfort and with dignity until they die, while providing support for families, friends, and caregivers. We offer community-based programs and services including Hospice at Home, Day Program, Wellness Program, Counselling, Education and Bereavement services and a new and expanded centre of excellence 10-bed residential hospice, the Mario and Nick Cortellucci Hospice Palliative Care Centre of Excellence ("Centre"). In addition to the many community hospice and bereaved clients we currently serve, the new beds serve an additional 200 end-of-life individuals and support over a thousand other individuals impacted by their illness. This new facility also houses the Pristine Homes Institute for Hospice Palliative Care (Institute). The Institute will strive to continuously improve palliative care, foster a collaborative atmosphere and create better client/patient outcomes.
