For over 30 years now, HMHO, as an Not-For-Profit (NFP) charitable organization, has been funded for almost $1 million annually by the Ministry of Health to provide over 8000 visits to approximately 180 adults (19 -92 years of age) and Adult Group Programming in the Greater Hamilton Area (GHA). HMHO provides goal-oriented Intensive Case Management services (6 Case Managers) supported by Psychiatric consultation (2 psychiatrists) that includes medication management as well as Occupational Therapist (1 OT) assessments and treatment; daily recovery-oriented skills-training and leisure & recreation group activities. We are one of only 2 community agencies in Hamilton that provide Community Treatment Orders (CTOs) for clients who have difficulty adhering to their medications.
