Work Experience

Clinical Manager
Sep 2022 - Niagara Health

Utilizing my leadership skills, I engage with patients and families, attend bed flow meetings with staff and leadership teams, and round with the charge nurses to achieve results.  In this role, I engage patients and staff, promote quality in healthcare, and build the teams through transformational leadership and emotional intelligence.  I am accountable for a positive patient experience, patient flow, human resource management, risk management as well as safety, all of which contribute to high quality care.  I do this as a self-motivated and directed, results oriented leader.  I engage the staff and encourage collaboration through innovation, creativity and teamwork.

Clinical Manager
Apr 2021 - Sep 2022 Hamilton Health Sciences

I managed personnel (recruitment, interviews, and discipline) and equipment (capital requests, replacements, and procurement) in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Same Day Surgical Unit and Anesthesia Assistants.  I was successful in managing three budgets, while maintaining schedules, recruitment and unit development.  I participated in continuous quality improvement with all units, while supporting creativity, independence and innovation in the delivery of patient care throughout the perioperative experience.  I effectively collaborated with various managers, directors and physicians to ensure the successful completion of scheduled and emergent operations.

Registered Nurse
Aug 2018 - Apr 2021 Hamilton Health Sciences

As an RN I have experience in both medical and surgical as well as neurological and trauma Intensive Care Units, Coronary Care Units and the Heart Investigation Unit.  I am able to operate independently as an RN within the units, caring for critically ill patients.  I routinely cared for multi-system failure patients who were ventilated with multiple intravenous drips as well as telemetry monitoring. I provided care to patients undergoing Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT, Prisma), had intracranial drainage devices and occasionally pulmonary artery catheters. I would admit and care for NSTEMI and STEMI patients, pre and post angiogram and percutaneous intervention as well as patients awaiting pacemakers and valve replacements.
