Vice President, Clinical Programs & Chief Nursing Executive Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH) is one of Ontario’s leading community hospitals. Reporting to the President and CEO, the Vice President Clinical Programs and Chief Nursing Executive (VP and CNE) is responsible for the overall leadership of all clinical programs and support services provided to patients and their families of Markham Stouffville Hospital, including the Uxbridge Hospital site. In collaboration with a highly committed team of senior managers, clinical directors and professional staff, this individual is accountable for ensuring high quality, safe care and leadership excellence in patient experience along with professional practice oversight. The individual is also responsible for a broad quality portfolio which includes patient experience, patient relations and patient safety. The VP and CNE is an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributes to the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC), the Board of Directors and Committee meetings, and acts as Chair of the Patient Services Operations Committee and the Senior Leadership Operations Team meetings. The individual we seek will possess a BScN, coupled with a Masters Degree in Nursing or related clinical or business field. In addition to 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in a complex acute-care environment. Professionally, he or she will possess broad knowledge of the health care environment and awareness of current trends and best practices in health service delivery. The individual will demonstrate a high degree of strategic capacity and creativity, as well as courage, curiosity and intellectual capacity to identify bold solutions to complex problems.
