Job Description

Join the Board of Directors

Amplify the Physician’s Voice as a Member of the OMA Board

If you are committed to advancing the medical profession and contributing to meaningful health system change, this is an opportunity to make a thoughtful and lasting impact. The Ontario Medical Association (OMA) is inviting dedicated physician leaders to join its Board of Directors.

Board directors are elected directly by members during the regular election period. For this election period (2025/2026), the board requires:

▪ Three (3) Physician Directors for a 2-year term

▪ One (1) President-Elect for a 1-year term

Your skills and expertise, whether in strategic & transformational thinking; equity, diversity, inclusion, & accessibility; innovation & digital leadership, or other relevant competencies, combined with your zeal for healthcare, will help foster a robust, inclusive, and forward-thinking board. This is not just a role; it's a unique chance to directly impact the health and wellbeing of the health system and the medical community.

The OMA represents more than 50,000 members and is dedicated to advocating for their professional and personal needs to enable better healthcare delivery. If you’re ready to contribute to significant healthcare advancements in Ontario and be part of this exciting evolution, we would love to hear from you. The OMA has retained Promeus Inc. to invite nominations and expressions of interest to fill the upcoming board vacancy.
