Executive Director – Negotiations & Implementation
The Ontario Medical Association (OMA) advocates for the well-being of our 43,000 plus physicians, medical students, and retired physicians, and the health of Ontarians. The OMA is a membership organization that represents the political, clinical, and economic interests of Ontario physicians. Practicing physicians, residents, and medical students enrolled in any of the six Ontario faculties of medicine are eligible for OMA membership. The OMA runs programs to encourage healthy living practices and illness prevention.
Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Strategic Affairs, and working closely with the CEO and leadership of the OMA, the Executive Director, Negotiations & Implementation is responsible for negotiating and implementing physician compensation agreements with the Government of Ontario. This includes providing direction on optimal strategic approaches to contract negotiations between physicians and the Government, overseeing bilateral committees between the OMA and the Ministry of Health, monitoring and implementing provisions of contracts, and coordinating OMA resources in support of contract negotiations and implementation activities.
