Joining a small and effective team of professionals, the role includes a wide range of financial monitoring of both small and large scale capital projects, contractual oversight of the organization's parking operations, coordinating SAP Project Systems tools to advance project funding, and financial analysis and monitoring of departmental budgets.

Specifically, the role requires oversight of contracts and monthly invoicing with Lakeridge Health outsourced Parking facilities operator, assist with development of annual capital processes, including tracking capital funding project allocations, setting up requisitions/purchase orders and expenditures, tracking Foundation/Auxiliary supported capital/equipment purchases, provide assistance with funding, cost control, and cash flow assistance for individual projects to Project Managers, the Ministry of Health, and the Finance Department, and supporting the Senior Director of Capital Planning & Development in departmental budget development and monitoring.


* Minimum of five years' experience in the preparation of annual and multi-year operating and capital budgets and multi-year forecasts.
* A Professional designation in the field of Accounting or Finance is preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates with continuing education in Accounting and/or Finance.
* Experience in detailed multi-project level financial tracking, controls and processes is required ideally in a healthcare industry including a hospital setting.
* Experience in Ministry of Health funded healthcare capital projects as it relates to financial tracking and reporting is preferred.
* Knowledge of SAP Project Systems is required.
* Experience with fixed asset accounting systems, reconciliations and procedures is preferred.
* Advanced knowledge of accounting project management principles.
* Knowledge of hospital industry and MIS reporting guidelines is an asset.
* Proven ability to work cooperatively as a member of a small and cohesive team. The role is premised on assisting and supporting other staff and to facilitate a team environment through work contributions and the sharing of expertise and knowledge.
*Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate and perform a wide range of accounting and financial services necessary to the efficient functioning of the Capital Planning & Development cost control system.
* High degree of personal initiative in resolution of problems.
* Highly organized and efficient.
* Effectively set work priorities, work with minimum of supervision, and a commitment to completing duties in a timely and responsive manner.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Exercise tact and diplomacy and the ability to deal with all management levels including confidential matters.
* Ability to develop positive and effective working relationships with Finance and other hospital departments.
* Must be willing to accept accountability.
* Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Power Point.
