Lead, Provincial Capital Planning
Shared Health Manitoba
Shared Health Manitoba brings together clinical experts from across the province to deliver a patient-centred, accessible, responsive health system that people can count on. Shared Health’s scope and services will continue to evolve as part of a Manitoba’s broader health system transformation. Manitoba's Health System Transformation goal is for health services across the province to meet the needs of the population. This includes the creation of a provincial health organization, Shared Health, which will enable provincial planning and integration of services, improve patient care and provide coordinated support to regional health authorities across the province - including the recruitment and retention of health professionals - and establish provincial standards of care for all Manitobans.
This exciting opportunity is one of many shaped by the creation of a provincial health care system able to support integrated and patient-focused health services throughout Manitoba. Working closely with Shared Health and rural facilities management staff, the Lead, Provincial Capital Planning will be accountable for a portfolio of approved diverse and complex capital projects ranging in size up to $300 million. In this role, the new Lead will bring together a dynamic team of direct and indirect reports in project management, construction management and facilities management and construction support to enable best-in-class planning and implementation of healthcare infrastructure projects provincially.
The candidate we seek will possess 10 years of proven experience managing a team of capital planning, project management, construction and facilities management staff delivering infrastructure build, renovation, and maintenance services across a large, geographically dispersed area in a 24/7/365 critical systems environment, preferably in the health sector.
