Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH) recently announced the launch of Oak Valley Health, a new overarching name for the organization’s hospital sites, the Reactivation Care Centre, and a number of community based services.
Oak Valley Health is one of Ontario’s leading community hospitals. Across their two hospital sites (Markham and Uxbridge), the Reactivation Care Centre (RCC) and other community based sites, they provide high quality, patient-centred care to more than 435,000 patients each year. They are part of the Eastern York Region North Durham Ontario Health Team (OHT). Their 526 physicians, 28 midwives, approximately 2800 staff, and 1000 volunteers serve patients and families with an “honoured to care” mindset, and are focused on delivering an extraordinary patient experience to the residents of Markham, Whitchurch-Stouffville, Uxbridge and beyond.
Reporting to the President and CEO, the Vice President, Clinical Programs will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic and operational leadership in the development and delivery of Oak Valley Health’s clinical programs. The VP, Clinical Programs will be accountable for operational oversight of the following clinical program groupings: medicine, surgery, childbirth and children’s, midwifery, child development services, laboratory and diagnostic imaging, mental health, emergency and community services outreach. The VP will provide collaborative oversight for the clinical services and master plan execution as it relates to clinical programs.
The successful candidate will possess a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or related field required/preferred, in addition to at least ten years of experience in a senior leadership clinical operational role in a complex health care system.
