With annual revenue of $170M and 160 acute care beds, the nearly 2,000 staff, physicians, and volunteers provide excellent, compassionate care to hundreds of thousands of patients and families every year in their core areas of clinical focus: Cardiac Care (Regional Cardiac Centre); Regional Thoracic/Respiratory Care Program (Level 1 Thoracic Surgery Centre); Outpatient (Day) Surgery; General Medicine; and 24/7 Emergency Care. SMGH is accredited with Exemplary Standing until 2023 and consistently performs well above the provincial and national averages for many health indicators with patient satisfaction scores that are among the best in Ontario. National data shows that St. Mary’s Regional Cardiac Care Centre is among the top three cardiac centres in Canada for patient outcomes.

SMGH’s renewed vision of ‘Inspiring excellence. Healthier Together’ lays out a plan for growth, and innovation that will keep pace with the community and region that it serves. It also reflects a strong culture and values of compassion, respect, inclusion, integrity, collaboration, and innovation that extends to each interaction with patients and staff within the hospital and extends that commitment to working with our partners across the health system. When you join St. Mary’s, your contribution will make a positive impact to the quality of life for patients and families. You will contribute to the mission: Living the legacy – Compassion. Faith.
