QHC is an integrated system of four hospitals working with their partners to provide exceptional care to the people of their communities. Care is provided through four hospitals – Belleville General Hospital, North Hastings Hospital, Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, and Trenton Memorial Hospital – and includes four emergency departments, operating rooms at three sites, a rehabilitation day hospital, children’s treatment centre, ambulatory care clinics, community mental health programs, and a range of diagnostic services. There are inpatient beds for acute medical patients, intensive care, obstetrics, paediatrics, mental health, complex continuing care, rehabilitation, and surgery. The new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will continue to lead QHC at a time of extraordinary change and possibilities in a post-pandemic world. By focusing on patients, people, and partners, QHC is poised to be a leader in meeting the health care needs of people living in the diverse region of Prince Edward and Hastings Counties, the southeast portion of Northumberland County, their surrounding communities, and the broader provincial health system. The incumbent will be a visible, inclusive, and strategic change leader as the organization continues their journey to “Exceptional Care, Inspired by You”. The CEO will be a partner and leader with the Board of Directors, COS, Senior Leadership Team, Physicians, Staff, and Volunteers, in setting priorities and leading excellence in patient and family-centred care and continuing to build, strengthen, and expand upon community and health system partnerships.
