Director Clinical Services

Position Profile

The Director of Clinical Services guides the Clinical Services team in managing Mohawk Medbuy’s Clinical engagement and relationships within member Healthcare facilities related to the clinical components of product supply disruptions, innovation & value-added projects, goal-oriented RFP support, clinical engagement, support of product conversions and the cart management program.

Reporting to the CCO & VP Member Engagement, Clinical and Accounts Payable Services, the Director of Clinical Services provides strategic direction, operational and clinical input in the development, management, and implementation of Clinical work and all other related processes optimizing the clinical contribution to Mohawk Medbuy’s products and services. 

Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities


  •  Engagement with members to identify and enhance efficiencies that support value to our members.
  • Support ongoing engagement with Members and all Mohawk Medbuy business units through collaborative development of member tactical plans, annual service plans and development of CRM.
  • Strategic and tactical planning.
  • Staff engagement, coaching and retention.
  • Solutions oriented, change management champion.
  • Aligns with broader Mohawk Medbuy teams for issue resolution and strategic work.

  • Working collaboratively with/across different lines of service within Mohawk Medbuy.

  • The ideal candidate has the following experience, skills, competencies and attributes:

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field in Marketing, Business and/or a Health-Related Science.
  • Minimum 4-6 years related progressive leadership experience, in best practice environments in relevant acute care clinical, critical care, operating room, sales, standardization, supply chain and/or applicable to the areas of responsibility.
  •  Strong customer focus and service orientation, customer centric “mindset”. Customer service oriented for ensuring an enhanced customer experience.
  • Participated as part of a broader leadership team and contributed to the overall success of a business in addition to driving divisional results; an ‘integrator’ who shows commitment to corporate objectives and who aligns and communicates organizational objectives across divisional and functional boundaries.
  • Energized – exhibit a positive, “can do” attitude; solutions-oriented self-starter who proactively contributes to the operating environment; clarifies roles and responsibilities and contributes own fair share of effort.

 Must possess a strong understanding of:

  • Supply Chain, vendor community, sourcing principles, including warehouse operations related to short- and long-term product disruption substitution processes    
  • RFP development and evaluation,
  • Direct oversight to clinical and cart management work
  • Knowledge of healthcare purchasing
  • Broader Public Sector (BPS) Guidelines
  • Project management principles
  • Ongoing knowledge, awareness and ability to implement legislative requirements and best practices both internally and externally.
  • Innovative procurement.


 Either Burlington or London office

  • Regular travel between both offices will be required and the ability to travel 1-4 days per week to member sites
