Vice President, Patient Experience & Chief Nursing Executive The Collingwood General & Marine Hospital (CMGH) is a 70-bed facility serving more than 60,000 permanent residents and 3.5 Million annual visitors to the communities of Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Clearview and the Blue Mountains. CGMH is an acute care hospital providing emergency care, diagnostic services including lab, imaging and cardio respiratory therapy, as well as two inpatient units (medicine and surgery). CGMH also provides care in specialty areas including obstetrics, orthopaedics, intensive care and surgery, as well as outpatient care including dialysis and a wide range of clinics including mental health and rehabilitation services. CGMH continues to provide care close to home for our community and plays a key role as an integrated orthopaedic centre for our region. The hospital is also an integral part of the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network, which is made up of 8 Hospitals in our region. The Position The Vice President of Patient Experience and Chief Nurse Executive (VP-CNE) is responsible for developing and implementing a clear vision through exemplary leadership in order to sustain an operational culture focused upon patient and family experience. Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, you will play a leading role in shaping a health system where each patient has access to care, where patient experience drives improvement, where practice is rooted in evidence and service delivery is timely. Providing both strategic and operational oversight, you will work closely with fellow members of the Hospital’s Senior Team, and in close partnership with the Chief of Staff to develop, promote and sustain exceptional quality of care that anticipates and serves the Georgian Triangle’s growing population. As CGMH continues their journey of clinical excellence, your systems perspective will ensure that outcomes are integrated with key performance and quality drivers. Key leadership initiatives for the new Vice President, Patient Experience & Chief Nursing Executive will be to: Model and advance CGMH’s vision of “ Outstanding Care – For Life " through a continued focus on quality outcomes, people leadership, and clinical innovation. Foster and maintain current positive relationships with hospital partners, the LHIN and the broader community to advance the creation of a high quality system of care. Successfully position the organization to advance clinical and strategic initiatives. Contribute to and leverage a collaborative, inter-professional team environment committed to best practices of exceptional care. Lead initiatives that will support a positive work culture, patient and family partnerships and a safe and supportive work environment for all staff. Experience The successful candidate will be an accomplished and visionary senior operations and nursing leader with at least 5-7 years of senior-level experience in a health care environment. You have earned a reputation as a transformational, collaborative, and trusted leader who values people, clinical excellence and innovation, always ensuring that the patient experience and high quality health service is at the centre. Additionally, you are registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and have Master level preparation in nursing or another relevant discipline. You have a broad background and a passion for patient-and family-centred care, inter-professional practice and partnering with patients and families.
