Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) is an active, acute-care community hospital located in the heart of the City of Kawartha Lakes. Among our acute and continuing care services, our team cares for 45,000 patients per year in the 24/7/365 emergency department, provides orthopedics and ophthalmology, operates a dialysis unit, and is renowned for its mental health programs and restorative seniors care. The Ross family takes pride in providing compassionate, quality patient care. RMH is currently seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse in our Surgical Unit 4th Floor. The 4th floor surgical unit is comprised of both medical and surgical patients which various complexities such as CHF, COPD, bowel obstructions to general medicine cases. The surgical cases range from orthopedics, general surgery, eye, women’s health and urology. Six nurses work on the day shift providing a ratio of 4:1 and four nurses work at night with a ratio of 6:1. Shifts are 12 hours days and nights following the traditional schedule. RNs need to have coronary care as telemetry is also on the unit. Ross Memorial Hospital is committed to meeting the needs of persons with disabilities. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the ONA collective agreement. RATES OF PAY $32.21 to $45.31 per hour ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS Current certificate of registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario Must be compliant with College of Nurses quality assurance standards Current C.P.R. Certification essential, on hire Current I.V.
