Your excellent change leadership and management skills are exceptional and as a highly motivated leader you have a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong community partnerships and relationships with mental health and addiction service providers, EMS, Police and stakeholders across the continuum of health care. Position Summary: Reporting to the Director, Clinical Programs, the Clinical Manager is responsible for the operation of effective and efficient delivery of organized clinical and related services. Through leadership and mentoring, the Clinical Manager promotes evidenced informed care, professional development of staff, students and volunteers while guiding and supporting an interdisciplinary healthcare team approach. The successful candidate demonstrates an understanding and expertise of mental health and addictions care at a systems level. Position Requirements: Baccalaureate degree in a healthcare related field Current registration and in good standing with your respective College Masters’ degree in relevant field preferred Certification in psychiatric and mental health an asset 3-5 years clinical management or leadership experience in Mental Health Proven change leadership, coaching and multidisciplinary team development success Strong commitment to patient and family centred care and exceptional patient/family experiences Demonstrated people-centred leadership capacity Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills Strong collaboration skills Holds self and others accountable Strong knowledge of quality improvement, utilization, risk and financial management, collective agreements Knowledge of legislation applicable to areas of responsibility Specific Responsibilities: In collaboration with the Director, the Manager: Oversees the daily operations of the clinical unit to ensure safe, evidence base care is provided at the unit level for our patients and the community we serve. Manages the unit resources (Human, Financial, and Physical) to deliver effective, efficient and safe patient care. The Clinical Manager is responsible for: Human Resource Management, Financial Resource Management, Utilization Management, Continuous Quality Improvement and Leadership. Key Accountabilities: Ensures clinical excellence including high quality and safe patient/family experiences. Manages day to day basis operational excellence: Human, Financial and Physical resources. Leads high-performing teams and supports a healthy work environment for staff. Ensures compliance with required hospital policies and all legislative requirements. Builds positive relationships across the organization and with external partners/agencies. Communicates organizational strategy (vision, mission, values).
