The new Chief and Medical Director, Critical Care will build a quality improvement oriented culture and bring exciting, innovative ideas to advance the quality of care for our community, while helping us build SHN into Canada's leading community teaching health network. An outstanding clinician, the Chief & Medical Director, Critical Care will bring demonstrated administrative skills in a complex health care setting, excellent written and verbal communication skills, well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, and demonstrated organizational, teaching and leadership abilities. The Chief & Medical Director, Critical Care must be licensed to practice (or be eligible for licensure) in Ontario with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario. Additional administrative training, including MBA, MHA, Canadian Certified Physician Leader or related credentials are important assets. It is expected that successful candidate will have or will be eligible for an academic appointment with one of the Medical Schools with which we are formally affiliated (University of Toronto or Queen’s University).
