Whether you are addressing a complaint from a member of the public, or a report suggesting a health condition that impairs judgment, an ongoing competence issue or a serious misconduct matter, you are able to lead a team in evaluating risk and carry out a diverse range of regulatory responses from alternative dispute resolution to remedial resolutions and ultimately high risk investigations. Your expertise in risk assessment, professional regulation and procedural fairness ensure that investigative processes are rigorous, fair and efficient. In a fast-paced, ever changing environment, you guide your team to manage change and focus on continuous improvement. Analytical and curious, you identify emerging trends and opportunities for innovation. Your strong stakeholder relationships support the team and organization to seize these opportunities and reach for regulatory excellence. Qualifications 5 years experience in professional regulation or related field, with progressive responsibility for team contribution to organizational success Demonstrated leadership and management experience in similar or related role Baccalaureate education in law, healthcare, policy or related subject Substantive knowledge of professional regulation, risk evaluation and dispute resolution Expert knowledge of administrative law principles and procedural fairness, with significant experience in interpretation and application of the Regulated Health Professions Act ; knowledge of privacy, human rights and evidence law Proven experience building a team and leading change initiatives; demonstrated ability to manage human and financial resources Demonstrated use of innovation in business processes to support business and customer needs with proven experience in providing strategic and measurable contribution to business results Superior verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Key Accountabilities Reporting to the Director, Professional Conduct, work as a member of the Investigative leadership team and manage the people and processes of the program to: Assess, resolve and investigate reports about nursing care and Support the Inquiry, Complaints and Reports Committee in its statutory mandate to review complaints, inquiry and investigation reports and make dispositions in the public interest Establish and report on performance metrics including Committee outcomes Manage, motivate and develop team maximizing their individual contributions, professional growth and ability to work effectively as a collaborative group Seize opportunities for business transformation to support process efficiencies and ensure the integrity and usability of data to inform decision-making Build and maintain collaborative internal and external relationships to support the achievement of regulatory excellence Hiring Range: $129,224 - $134,723 Full Salary Range: $129,224 - $154,469 If selected for this opportunity, you will be required to work onsite at our Toronto office.
