BUILD ON YOUR CAREER EXPERIENCE BY:
- Assessing, planning and evaluating nursing care to patients in an acute medical unit
- Performing peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) insertions in order to establish and/or maintain intravenous therapy.
- Setting priorities, assigning and delegating tasks to support staff
- Working collaboratively and in partnership with the interprofessional care team in the provision of person-centered care
- Instructing patients and families/care givers about illness prevention, health restoration and health maintenance to help patients in accomplishing their health care goals
YOUR BACKGROUND INCLUDES:
- Graduation from an approved school of Nursing
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Advanced proficiencies in peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC) insertions
- Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle for business related purposes
This is a relief part-time role located at Langley Memorial Hospital (LMH) in Langley, BC. LMH is a community hospital with 192 acute beds offering medical, surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, psychiatry, critical care, ambulatory care as well as 24/7 emergency services with 47,640 visits annually. Langley is comprised of the City of Langley and the Township of Langley, including the village of Fort Langley – the birthplace of BC.
