YouthLink began as The Big Sister Association of Toronto in 1914. In the 1970s the organization became Huntley Youth Services and, later, YouthLink. As a resource for youth and their families in Scarborough and Toronto 2,344 new clients received services and there were 79,000 client contacts with staff in 2020.
The organization provides a range of services, over several sites, which are offered free of charge. YouthLink supports youth, with over 26 different programs and services, in an environment that respects race, culture, ethnicity, language, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, and income. YouthLink is seeking an exceptional leader for the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO will be a strong voice and key spokesperson for youth mental health services. She/he will have the mandate to lead a dynamic organization and leverage its expertise, capacity, and dedication.
The CEO is accountable for the leadership, direction, funding, and day-to-day management of all operations of the organization. Responsible to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide vision, leadership, and influence to lead the transformation and continued evolution of YouthLink during a time of change and opportunity. The CEO will provide authentic leadership while advancing the organization’s strategic directions, workplace culture, and partnerships. Further, this role will lead the overall business of the organization, including planning, developing, organizing, and administering all of YouthLink’s operations. This executive role requires a dynamic, adaptive, and resourceful leader who can effectively navigate through an ever-changing environment and complex stakeholder relationships, inspire commitment, and engage with diverse communities, staff, and the Board of Directors. The CEO will be a strong people leader with the ability to foster a safe and supportive environment for staff while effectively championing a client-centred agenda.

You will have at least ten years of progressive leadership experience in a similar environment with a track record of leading clinical or client-facing services in a unionized environment. In addition to having strong credentials, the incumbent will be an exceptional relationship developer with a demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
