The Position

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Patient Care Services, and working in close partnership with the Program Chief & Medical Director for Women’s and Children’s Health, the successful candidate will play a key role in building and sustaining excellence in the Trillium Health Partners (THP) Regional Women’s & Children’s Health Program. The Director will ensure the delivery of high-quality care for patients and their families across THP and in all portfolio areas, including Birthing Services, Neonatal Intensive Care Units, Paediatrics, Gynaecology (inpatient and ambulatory services). and designated Gynecologic Oncology Centre, while respecting and working with the differences inherent to each site.

Key leadership initiatives for the new Director will be to:

  • With a focus on clinical excellence, identify, develop, and implement patient and family-centered care initiatives that emphasize transformative care and evidence-based outcomes.
  • Develop and nurture strategic alliances and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders across the continuum of women’s and children’s health, driving towards continued integration, program excellence, and system innovation.
  • Lead several priority projects that are designed to improve the care experience for women, newborns, children, and youth, including Master Planning for a new hospital at the Mississauga Hospital and optimizing the OneTHP HIS system.
  • Partner and collaborate with strategic partners to streamline the delivery of care and enhance alignment with related regional services.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities across the various clinical platforms, pushing the boundaries and integrating resources for improved patient services, creating a unified program for a single patient experience.


The successful candidate will have at least 5-7 years of progressive, professional experience in healthcare and must be a member in good standing of a regulated health profession. Clinical experience in the areas of Women’s and Children’s Health is considered a strong asset. The new Director will excel by building relationships, promoting collaboration, managing change, and seeking out innovative solutions.
