The Rural/Remote Nursing Incentive position is dependent on a three-year return of service
The Rural/Remote Nursing Incentive supports nurses who have made an employment commitment to Northern BC remote communities
Should a recipient of the Northern Remote incentive voluntarily leave NH during the three-year return of service agreement, they will be required to refund a portion of the incentive at a prorated rate (calculated on the basis of 1/36th of the total allowance for each month of the three-year return of service not yet served)

What we are looking for:
As a Pharmacy Student at Oak Valley Health -Markham Site your primary role will include supporting the medication reconciliation process in various patient care areas of the hospital. Your duties will include (but are not limited to) collection and documentation of Best Possible Medication Histories (BPMHs) and technical tasks related to medication distribution . You will be trained by pharmacy team members, including pharmacy technicians and clinical pharmacists . You will also be responsible to complete projects, as assigned by your preceptor or delegate.
What you bring to the role:
Currently a 3rd to 4th year student in a pharmacy program at university
Prior hospital experience is highly desirable
Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills; working in a fast-paced environment

What we are looking for:
As a Pharmacy Student at Oak Valley Health -Markham Site your primary role will include supporting the medication reconciliation process in various patient care areas of the hospital. Your duties will include (but are not limited to) collection and documentation of Best Possible Medication Histories (BPMHs) and technical tasks related to medication distribution . You will be trained by pharmacy team members, including pharmacy technicians and clinical pharmacists . You will also be responsible to complete projects, as assigned by your preceptor or delegate.

Currently a 3rd to 4th year student in a pharmacy program at university
Prior hospital experience is highly desirable

What you’ll do
Participate in the operational planning, development, implementation and evaluation of sustainable standards and initiatives related to Transfusion Medicine clinical practice(s) throughout the organization through methods such as providing information based upon specialized transfusion theory/practice, developing communication linkages and advocating on behalf of the program.
Coordinate the development and implementation of a Blood Transfusion Medicine Quality Management System; integrates and standardizes external processes and procedures related to the Laboratory Quality Management Systems utilizing process mapping techniques.
Collaborate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders by facilitating committee meetings to develop and execute actions plans that address deficiencies and developing communications tools to ensure awareness of initiatives and practice changes related to Transfusion Medicine throughout the organization.
Under the direction of the Transfusion Medicine Division Head, Transfusion Technical Practice Lead, and with relevant Nursing stakeholders, develops and maintains policies, procedures and guidelines related to the transfusion of blood products to meet relevant standards.
Provide clinical support to Transfusion Medicine Services, the Regional Transfusion Medicine Division Head and Professional Practice related to Transfusion Medicine; attend to directives that enhance the quality of care and ensure safety of recipients, staff, blood and blood components.
