Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, this newly created foundational leadership role will provide strategic direction and thought leadership necessary to ensure sound decision-making and oversight of Ontario Health’s Digital Excellence in Health portfolio, as well as to define and champion Ontario Health’s vision, mission and values. This is an exciting opportunity to shape, develop and deliver significant, high-impact digital first health system strategies, standards and initiatives within Ontario Health and across the health system to improve patient/resident/client and provider experiences and health outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a credible, strategic information technology leader with a proven track record of building strong relationships to drive and set technical standards and support the development and implementation of innovative, interconnected digital capabilities and solutions.
You hold a graduate degree in Information Technology, Data Sciences, Engineering or a related specialty area, and at least 10 years’ relevant senior-level leadership and information technology experience within the health care sector or similarly complex information-intensive or digitally advanced environments. You have proven skills in leading large-scale systems development, implementation, and service delivery to meet both business critical and corporate requirements. With demonstrated success in leading significant transformation initiatives, you hold a clear commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism.
