We are looking for someone who has the passion, integrity and commitment to provide leadership to the clinical team, make sure that our quality of care delights our residents and exceeds required standards in safety, care and service.  We are looking for someone to help develop and implement systems that will help us to manage care and services in the Home, effectively, efficiently and with compassion.  We need someone who can support our staff to consistently achieve resident care goals and implement care interventions, help with continuous quality improvements and encourage care innovation to enhance and excel our nursing practices. Working collaboratively with the Home’s Administrator and our Finance and HR Team, we are looking for someone who can help to plan, develop and manage operational budgets, oversee our human and physical resources and position the home to meet and exceed regulatory requirements.  We need someone excited about the prospect of continuing to develop leadership skills and knowledge and act in the absence of our Administrator. 

If you:

  • Are committed to the provision of exceptional care for seniors and families
  • Are a Registered Nurse with a current certificate of competence, and are a member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Hold a post-graduate degree in Nursing Sciences
  • Have been in a leadership Nursing Leader with five years’ or more working in LTC or the Hospital Sector
  • Possess excellent working knowledge of the Long-Term Care Homes Act; RAI-MDS and CMI
  • Have an understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and ESA Legislation
  • Are a leader who believes in the strength of building a supportive and engaging workplace culture
  • Have previous experience operating in a unionized environment
  • Are an effective problem-solver, communicator, coach, and educator
  • Believes in the value of building strong and meaningful relationships with others and,
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and can complete a successful Police Check, Vulnerable Screening Check, and Medical Check
