POSITION: Director, Acute Medicine
RATE: $114,036 – $140,263, annually
Located in beautiful Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, at the heart of the Great Lakes, Sault Area Hospital (SAH) is a 300-bed hospital and approximately $200 m operating budget. SAH provides primary, secondary and tertiary hospital services for the residents of Sault Ste Marie and the surrounding Algoma District. Reporting to the Vice President, Clinical Operations & Chief Nursing Executive, we are looking for a dynamic thoughtful leader to join our team and be accountable for the direction, coordination, and leadership of Acute Medicine Services. The Director is accountable for the overall programmatic and operational leadership for a Clinical Program, as well as contributing to the overall corporate leadership and achievement of the goals, strategy, mission and vision of Sault Area Hospital. The position requires collaboration with physician leaders, interprofessional teams and is accountable for achieving optimum standards of service, care and value to our patients and communities in a manner consistent with Sault Area Hospital’s mission, vision and values.
You are an experienced leader with a proven strategic enterprise perspective. You have strong business acumen, planning and analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with others to set and achieve challenging multi-year objectives. You demonstrate strong alignment to the mission, vision and values of the organization. You are experienced in financial, human resources, planning, risk and project management. You can demonstrate the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, as well as develop, lead and ensure meaningful communication of organization’s vision, mission, values and strategic direction to inspire and influence others. You have the proven ability to champion the development of proactive strategies and use strategic alliances to extend organizational impact on quality patient care for our community. In addition, you have a Degree in a related discipline, coupled with greater than five years’ leadership experience, and preferably you are a regulated healthcare professional.
