We currently have an opening for a Director, Counselling Services.  In this strategic position, you will lead a team of Professionals in Mental Health and Hearing Care Counselling serving the CHS client population across Ontario. You will oversee all aspects of the CHS Counselling Services from strategic development to daily operations delivering quality services against targets from the funders.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversee all aspects of three counselling services, namely:

  • CONNECT Mental Health Counselling Services (CONNECT)
  • Hearing Care Counselling Services (HCCP)
  • General Support Services (GSS)

Leading a professional management team and front-line staff decentralized in 24 locations across Ontario, the Director, Counselling Services will be responsible for the strategic alignment of the program with the direction of the overall organization.  This role is instrumental in deciding the future growth and expansion of Counselling Services provincially and eventually nationally.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Clinical Psychology combined with professional registration/credentialing/licensing with a relevant regulatory body (e.g. Ontario College of Social Workers or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario). 
  • Demonstrable leadership and management experience in a healthcare/community setting.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking skills with the ability to both understand and ensure the execution of operational plans.
