Full Time Program Director, Emergency, General Medicine, Regional Stroke and Access & Flow
Reporting to the Interim Vice President, Clinical Services, the Program Director is an integral member of the Clinical Leadership Team who embraces the vision and values of Grand River Hospital and participates collaboratively with the overall planning and development activities. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring positive patient experience, developing the strategic direction, achievement of the service goals, implementation of quality initiatives and ensuring the development of effective partnerships both internally and externally. Operationally, the Program Director functions within a program-based model and is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Emergency, General Medicine, Regional Stroke and Access & Flow Programs. Further responsibilities include performance management, managing the fiscal budget and human resources and ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
The Program Director, in collaboration with the Interim Vice President, Clinical Services, provides leadership in the development and implementation of strategies to improve quality of care, risk management and clinical outcomes and is accountable for aligning priorities with resources within the clinical programs.
