President & Chief Executive Officer
Embrace the opportunity to lead one of Ontario’s largest and most dynamic community teaching hospitals, at a time when opportunities to transform the way that health care is delivered have never been greater. William Osler Health System (“Osler”) is a hospital system that serves 1.3 million residents in a region that is rich in cultural diversity. Osler has three hospital sites: Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital and the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness, as well as a 30 bed Reactivation Care Unit located at Humber – Church Street Site.
Osler and its many community partners have taken initial steps toward forming an Ontario Health Team (OHT). Having successfully completed the initial readiness assessment, the community consortium has submitted a full OHT application and completed a site visit. This exciting development positions Osler to take the lead, regionally and provincially, in setting the bar for the highest level of patient care. In anticipation of continual growth in the communities served by Osler, capital expansion plans are underway.
Osler has been named one of Greater Toronto's Top Employers for the ninth time in 2019. In addition, it has been recognized as one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers for 2019 for its exceptional workplace diversity and inclusiveness programs.
Osler has been recognized nationally for many of its clinical innovations, including the endovascular aneurysm repair, a life-saving procedure makes Osler the first community hospital to offer this treatment in Canada. In addition, Osler has achieved top ranking in the National Surgery Quality Improvement Program.
The CEO will report to the Board of Directors and will lead a talented senior executive team to ensure best-in-class performance and levels of service to the patients served by Osler. The CEO will also work in close collaboration with the President of the Foundation.
