In recent years, Parkinson Canada has taken major steps forward by transforming its operations and governance structures. As President and CEO, working alongside an engaged Board of Directors, you will lead the transformation, identify a new or enhance the current business model, motivate and inspire a talented senior leadership team and staff, and support the efforts of dedicated volunteers across the country. You will create and champion a culture of accountability and excellence, ensuring that staff and volunteers are empowered and well supported to achieve success. Passionate about the cause, you will represent Parkinson Canada as a credible and persuasive spokesperson and advocate. You will lead efforts to increase public awareness, secure ongoing investment in scientific discovery, build on strong alliances with corporate sponsors and institutional donors, support the Scientific Advisory Council and engage Canada’s medical research community.
As the ideal candidate, you are an inspiring, courageous and engaging visionary with strong strategic and operational skills. You are respected by peers and staff as a compelling communicator, a trusted and sought out partner and a highly effective change agent. Your capacity and commitment to drive revenue growth and to support a Board in a multi-stakeholder context will be highly valued, as will your experience across the not-for-profit, public or private sectors. As an experienced executive, you are known to set clear priorities, identify, coach and develop exceptional talent and rally your teams around a shared vision. Your ability to communicate in both official languages will be an asset.
