Position Summary

The Director-Post Acute Care, Mental Health and Dialysis reports to the Vice-President-Clinical & Chief Nursing Executive. In this role, you are responsible for the planning, development implementation and ongoing strategic operations of current and future directions of the Program in alignment with the Hospital's strategic plan, mission and values. This includes Mental Health, Community Counseling, Dialysis, Regional Housing (covering Haliburton Highlands and City of Kawartha Lakes), palliative care, rehabilitation, integrated stroke care, seniors care and chronic disease management.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will be a strategically focused change leader with advanced planning and organizational skills. You will also possess a collaborative leadership style with exceptional communication skills that will enable you to promote and maintain an interdisciplinary network and relationships with community groups, regional programs, and other external agencies as they relate to the Program, and within the hospital. In this role, you will support and participate in LHIN level planning and coordination initiatives in various capacities including your program areas.

You will lead and engage an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused quality care, service excellence and build leadership capacity at all levels. You will have strong understanding of the impact and health care challenges related to the program areas. You will have experience in at least one of the focused areas of seniors care, mental health, dialysis, palliative care and/or rehabilitation. You will have knowledge of the reporting requirements and accountabilities for CCRS, NRS, DADS and rehabilitation intensity.

In addition, you will have at least 5 years' of recent hospital leadership experience, an active registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and possesses Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Care Management or a related health science.

37.5 hours per week
