The Position:

The President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead Headwaters at an exciting and innovative period in health care. Working in partnership with its community, the new CEO will continue to build on this community hospital’s success by continually improving the care it provides and working locally with the Hills of Headwaters Collaborative.   The incumbent will be a visible, person-centred, inclusive and strategic leader as the organization partners in a complex and changing provincial health system. The CEO will be a partner and leader with the Board, Senior Management Team, physicians, staff and volunteers, in advancing the hospitals strategic goals and continuing to build and expand upon the excellent community and health system partnerships.

Key leadership priorities for the CEO will be to:

  • Work collaboratively with local partners to develop the Hills of Headwaters Collaborative Ontario Health Team;
  • Advance major hospital improvement projects including, Welcome Centre and Emergency Department renovations, MEDITECH Expanse: Clinical Transformation, and Accreditation;
  • Support the success and evolution of patients and families as partners with the hospital and
  • Continue to build the capacity of the organization by supporting, developing and empowering the Headwaters team to lead positive improvement at every level of the hospital.

Experience:

The successful candidate will be a collaborative, visionary health system leader with a highly successful track record of leading positive change in a complex multi-stakeholder and partner environment. In addition to exemplary executive health care leadership and a commitment to a culture of patient and family-centered care, clinical excellence and exemplary staff, physician, volunteer, foundation relationships, he/she will be a collaborative and engaged leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
