Position Summary The Clinical Director will lead and manage the ESPCN’s clinical staff and services. This role is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive, multidisciplinary team care to the ESPCN’s universe of patients, in keeping with the corporation’s overall goals and objectives. The Clinical Director will work with family physicians in the community, ESPCN executive, other health professionals and local and regional services to integrate clinical plans and services along the continuum of care for the betterment of patient care.
The Clinical Director will maintain a clinical role and directly support patient care within the ESPCN. The Clinical Director will be instrumental in, and lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of novel, integrated, community-based solutions to the delivery of primary care in a family practice setting. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Clinical Director is a member of the ESPCN’s executive management group, will contribute to strategy and policy development, will participate in corporate governance, will lead clinical system integration activities, assist in the development of annual budgets and be responsible for the clinical budget of the corporation.

The Edmonton Southside Primary Care Network has been established to provide primary care services and to enhance the delivery of primary care through local initiatives. It is a joint venture partnership between a group of South Edmonton Family Physicians and Alberta Health Services and is the first Network of its kind established in Alberta.
