Full-time Position

The Vice President of Client Services is an integral part of the Executive Team; responsible for overseeing the planning, directing and monitoring of service delivery provided to publicly and privately funded clients through local offices. The VP of Client Services develops effective working relationships with funders and other healthcare sector stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

 Planning, directing and monitoring the services provided by the local offices within the region(s)

  • As a member of the Executive team, the VP Client Services is responsible for participating in setting the overall strategic direction for Closing the Gap Healthcare and making sure that the organizational objectives are achieved. 
  • Works with Executive Team to plan and monitor service delivery of multiple services within local offices.
  • Ensures that service is delivered in compliance with contractual obligations, relevant legislation, regulatory standards and Closing the Gap Healthcare requirements.
  • Oversees the completion of regional accountability reports and monitors local KPI’s that meet the company requirements.
  • Establishes quarterly and annual departmental goals that complement and support the corporation’s strategic objectives and plan.

Developing effective working relationships on behalf of the company with LHIN, CCAC leaders and private sector contacts:

  • Represents the company and builds solid working relationships with LHIN, private sector contacts and other potential partners to network, respond to community needs and identify potential business opportunities.
  • Participates on healthcare sector committees or boards as approved by the Executive Team.

Marketing existing services and develops new business initiatives on behalf of the corporation: 

  • Participates in the development of RFP submissions.
  • Participates in opportunities to network and market services. Capitalizes on opportunities for promoting the company.  

Providing direct supervision and support to Directors of Client Services:

  • Provide supervision and coaching to the Directors carrying out supervisory responsibilities in  accordance with corporate standards and policies.
  • Acts as an advocate for the safety and wellbeing of clients and workers ensuring that all leadership are able to identify, reduce, eliminate, monitor/track and prevent unsafe situations for clients, workers, caregivers and other stakeholders.

Internal Communication: 

  • Works with the Executive, Senior Governance and Management Teams to ensure effective communication throughout the organization.
  • Works with the Executive, Senior Governance and Management Teams to develop and implement transition management plans for implementation of new initiatives.
  • Reports to Executive Team in the required format.
  • Chairs internal committees as required.
  • Supports the Ethics Working Group and the Occupational Health and Safety Best Practice Committee.

  • Knowledgeable of responsibilities under all applicable acts and legislation.
  • Demonstrates support for client safety and ensures that all offices in Region are compliant with the Client Safety Standard.
  • Leads by example in establishing a culture that supports work-life balance and wellness.

Ethical Decision-making:

  • Demonstrates behaviours that are consistent with professional codes of conduct and company policies related to ethical decision-making.
  • Builds the capacity of management staff for ethical decision-making through regular case study discussion and availability for consultation.

Provides leadership across the organization that is consistent with the strategic priorities of Closing the Gap Healthcare

Employment Qualifications

  • Current registration with a regulated health professional college in Ontario
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience
  • Minimum of 5 years senior leadership experience in progressively responsible positions
  • Experience within public, not-for-profit and private healthcare organizations is considered ideal
  • Access to a vehicle or transportation - some travel is required
