In this key leadership role, the Program Director (Director), Emergency & Urgent Care Centre Program, will be accountable for the overall operations and service delivery of one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the province, a multi-site, fast paced program with over 280,000 emergency visits per year. Working in close partnership with the Vice President, Patient Care Services and the Chief & Medical Director of the Emergency and UCC Program (Program), the Director oversees approximately 550 professionals across 3 THP sites, with a total annual budget of approximately $40M. In this strategic and operational role, the Director will inspire and ensure an ongoing commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centred care by actively promoting and continuing to advance best practices and high quality services, both within and outside of the hospital. Trillium Health Partners is in the midst of planning for the implementation of a Hospital Information System, and has initiated planning for new hospital builds at the Mississauga Hospital Site and Queensway Health Centre. The Director will play a key role in supporting the planning of these exciting initiatives from a Program perspective.

The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in a similarly complex acute care environment, and excels by building relationships, promoting collaboration, managing change, and seeking out innovative solutions. A transformational leader, the successful candidate will have the ability to continuously improve the staff and patient experience, while advancing outcomes in a high-volume, fast-paced, multi-site environment. In addition to a Master Degree, the candidate will ideally bring leadership experience in emergency services.
