This key leadership role works in a dyad relationship with the Senior Medical Director (SMD), CancerControl Alberta. Together, the CPO and SMD will develop, establish and maintain the operational strategic plan for provincially-integrated Cancer Care services, ensuring optimal program delivery. Relationship management is essential to moving CancerControl to the high performing cancer system AHS strives for. It’s an exciting time to be a part of AHS, where you can make a significant impact on health care by contributing to and implementing Alberta’s Cancer Plan. Help CancerControl realize their vision of an Alberta where most cancers are prevented, more cases of cancer are cured, and to dramatically reduce the suffering of cancer patients. Alberta Health Services, the largest health care provider in the country, works to provide safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centred care to over 4.1 million Albertans. The provincial CancerControl program delivers comprehensive cancer care in 17 cancer centres across Alberta to support over 16,000 new cancer patients being diagnosed annually. CancerControl prioritizes patient safety by dedicating three Quality Assurance Committees to support this work. One of Canada’s Top Employers for two years running, Top Employer for Young People, and an Alberta Top 70 Employer, you’ll work with an exceptional team as you make a difference in the lives of Albertans.
