Lying on the cusp of the northern frontier, 200KMs north of the Arctic Circle within the Beaufort Delta Region (BDR), lays the community of Inuvik - your potential home for the next year as a Senior Executive with the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA).

This small and welcoming community of 3,500 residents offers benefits beyond what you might find in southern communities throughout Canada. Inuvik is home to the most northern greenhouse in the world and is very family friendly with plenty of year round indoor and outdoor activities for family members of all ages. The community provides an abundance of fresh air, minimal (ie: No) traffic and some of the shortest commutes in the country.

In this role you’ll be working closely and collaboratively with the NTHSSA Senior Management team to provide leadership and expertise in the oversight of the strategic and day to day operations in the BDR to ensure services are provided in a manner consistent with the departmental cultural expectations of safety, quality, inquiry and patient/client based.

As the ideal candidate, you are a highly successful health care executive that is well known for your strategic skills in leading diverse, multi-disciplinary engaged teams, a relentless pursuit of quality and safety in patient care, refined relationship and partnership building skills and proven leadership abilities while implementing significant, organizational wide change.

We’re seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, a bachelor’s degree in health, public, business administration or social science with 7 years senior level management experience.

The GNWT offers an excellent compensation package with a salary and northern allowance of up to $216,000.
