Project Manager –Innovative Healthcare Technology Project 

The Ontario Chiropractic Association (OCA) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage an innovative healthcare technology project.

The OCA represents over 3,500 chiropractors in Ontario by serving our members and the public through advancing the understanding and use of chiropractic care. Chiropractors are musculoskeletal (MSK) experts, providing assessment, diagnosis and care for a various MSK issues in the back, neck, and extremity areas.

The OCA is on an exciting journey to be a leading association in support of its members through delivery of innovative, value based solutions to advance the profession.

The Role

Collaborative, resourceful and highly organized, the successful candidate will lead the project team comprised of subject matter experts from the organization and vendor partners.

Primary responsibilities and activities:

  • Utilize project management expertise in the management of projects of varying complexity
  • Manage all project-related deliverables (including project charters, schedules, budgets and financials, resourcing, risk identification and regular updates)
  • Assist in defining and developing departmental wide program management practices, governance standards, processes and metrics
  • Maintain quality of technology standards by contributing to the consistent application of leading practice standards in the development of the solution
  • Leverage strong communication and interaction skills in order to develop, maintain and leverage relationships with our members, partners and vendors
  • Communicate regularly with executive management and administration regarding the status of current project initiatives; obtains executive guidance and approval as required to advance initiatives
  • Leverage analytical skills to lead groups / work with other teams
  • Act as a role model for the OCA values and behaviors 


  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in technology, information systems, business systems
  • PMP certification an asset
  • Knowledge of MySQL
  • Experience in User Acceptance Testing, development and reporting
  • Familiarity with the Agile framework
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, written and spoken
  • Proven documentation development
  • Experience in Health Informatics an asset
  • Mini.mum of 3 years of experience as a project manager with experience in technology projects
  • Ability to interact and work collaboratively with senior leaders. The successful candidate will need to possess strong stakeholder management skills when dealing with both internal and external partners
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to adjust messaging as appropriate to the audience
  • Experience in the implementation of standard operating procedures and processes.
