Part time Nurse

Job Description

Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) is an active, acute-care community hospital located in the heart of the City of Kawartha Lakes.   Among our acute and continuing care services, our team cares for 45,000 patients per year in the 24/7/365 emergency department, provides orthopedics and ophthalmology, operates a dialysis unit, and is renowned for its mental health programs and restorative seniors care. The Ross family takes pride in providing compassionate, quality patient care.

RMH is currently seeking a Part Time RN in our Continuing Care Program/Rehabilitation/Stroke unit.

The Complex Continuing Care unit is a specialized patient care area within Ross Memorial Hospital. A patient will be admitted to this unit if their condition is not medically stable and/or requires ongoing skilled, technology-based care; for example, stage four ulcers, transfusions, lung aspirations etc.   The Complex Continuing Care Unit is on the forefront of a developing trend in health care. Recognizing the impact of the aging population, we have developed a specialization in Complex Care, maximizing health and physical ability in patients with complex chronic conditions.

CCP2 is the home of the Functional Enhancement program (FE) and Complex Medical beds. The unit consists of a slow stream rehabilitation program for those patients who are unable to tolerate the intensity of the inpatient rehab program. The goal for these patients is to return home. CCP2 also care for patients whose requirements are beyond what can be managed in a long term care facility.

Ross Memorial Hospital is committed to the needs of persons with disabilities.  Accommodation will be provided throughout the hiring process at the request of the applicant.
