Reporting to the President & CEO of Mackenzie Health, the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Executive (EVP, COO & CNE) is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for overall strategic and operational leadership, working collaboratively to achieve Mackenzie Health’s mission, vision and values.
The EVP, COO & CNE will be instrumental in leading a very broad and complex clinical portfolio, as well as providing oversight for the opening of the Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital. With a dual focus at all times, the EVP, COO & CNE will lead and support a full range of initiatives related to improving the Patient Experience across all clinical programs, as well as play a significant leadership role in the operational readiness planning process related to the opening of the new hospital.
A highly visible and influential leader, the EVP, COO & CNE will be a key clinical resource and collaborator. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Program Directors, Physician Leaders and all members of Mackenzie Health, to ensure alignment between the organization’s vision, strategy and operations that emphasize “high quality, efficient and patient-centred care…a cultural journey of patient and family-centred excellence.”
The preferred candidate will have successful operational and clinical Vice President experience in a complex health system or regional service delivery environment. A Master's Degree in Nursing or related field is required, as well as current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
