Dawson City Community Hospital is a modern facility that opened in 2013 with state-of-the-art equipment. It allows many Yukoners to receive care closer to home through access to 24/7 emergency care, a 6-bed inpatient unit and ambulatory care as well as many lab and diagnostic imaging services. The remaining hospitals in Watson Lake (6 beds) and Whitehorse (55 beds) are fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and technologies, providing care for people in their respective areas.

Yukon Hospital Corporation is currently seeking a Director, Patience Care and Experience based in Whitehorse. This is a pivotal leadership role which combines both administrative skills with nursing knowledge.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

While the main objectives of this position are clinically focused, you understand that patient experience is all encompassing. As such, you may be required to take on a variety of tasks or projects to ensure patients and families have an optimal experience.
In order to qualify for this role, you will have a Master’s degree in Nursing, or recognized equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of management experience (preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting). Previous experience in quality, safety and/or risk management is also required.
