TRI-UHN is Canada’s largest adult rehabilitation hospital. TRI-UHN is home to the number one rehabilitation research centre in the world and brings together the brightest research minds and state-of-the-art technology. Toronto Rehab Research includes more than 118 scientists and over 100 graduate and postdoctoral students, many cross-appointed to TRI’s affiliate, the University of Toronto, and other leading academic institutions. Toronto Rehab Research’s investigators bring a rich and varied mix of academic, technical and clinical experience. They collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment where engineers trade ideas with industrial designers, and social scientists work alongside clinicians, patients and an amazing research support staff.

An extensive network of research labs, workshops and services credited with revolutionizing the science of rehabilitation, Toronto Rehab Research provides a unique space where ideas can be cultivated and tested in a real-life setting. Cutting-edge and simulator technologies allow researchers to safely study how adults with disabilities interact with their environment. Toronto Rehab Research enables researchers to deliver practical new therapies and well-designed products to enhance the lives of older people and those with disabling injury or illness.

Toronto Rehab Research solves problems in three areas: preventing illness and injury, restoring function quickly following injury or illness and enabling people to age in their own homes independently. Toronto Rehab Research’s labs are located at four sites: University Centre (550 University Ave.), Lyndhurst Hospital and Toronto Rehab’s Cardiac and Stroke Centre (Rumsey Road) and the Bickle Centre (Dunn Ave).

As the successful candidate, you must possess MD and FRCPC or equivalent qualifications, and have, or be eligible for, licensure in Ontario. Supporting UHN core values & vision, you are committed to safety, quality and interdisciplinary practice.

Estimated remuneration will be in the range of $250K to $350K, depending on fees for clinical service, and will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications and experience.
