Job Description

Providence Care Centre’s Providence Manor long term care home, located at the heart of Kingston, Ontario, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Administrator to oversee the operations of their 240+ bed home. As the Administrator of Providence Manor you will report to the VP of Community Programs and Communications. The Administrator will demonstrate exceptional operational experience in healthcare and in particular have a passion for long term care.

As the Administrator you will be working with a dedicated staff that provides care to our residents. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to lead  Providence Manor through re-development including the  planning process and  build of a new home. In doing this, the Administrator needs to build strong teams, develop a community of interest and provide stability to an environment entering into a very exciting phase of development. By inspiring a culture of continuous improvement, excellence and compassion the Administrator will enable the resident care team to excel in delivering against our Mission, Vision and Values while transitioning to a new chapter in Providence Manor’s extensive history.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Demonstrated Leadership/management experience in a unionized healthcare environment
  • Demonstrated passion for Long-term Care with good knowledge of the Long Term Care Homes Act
  • Demonstrated clinical experience/background in long-term care
  • Knowledge of the current and emerging trends in long term care and experience in the strategic planning to address the trends
