Definition of work: Reporting to the Regional Director of Diagnostic Imaging, this position will be responsible for program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation throughout Central Health. The manager will ensure that policies, protocols and standards are in place to support evidence informed practice. The manager will provide clinical supervision and support to staff within the program, as well as operational support to program staff at designated sites. Collaboration with other managers and directors within the organization will be essential. The successful candidate will be committed to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements

Required qualifications: 

  • Successful completion of a three year medical radiography technology program and/or a sonography program and/or a diploma/degree in a health related field approved by Central Health. 
  • Three to five years' relevant clinical experience in a multi-discipline Diagnostic Imaging Department and/or progressive management experience. 
  • Current license with Sonography Canada and/or Canadian Medical Association of Radiation Technologist (This is a requirement for applicants with a radiology technology/sonography program only).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member in changing and complex interdisciplinary environment. 
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills and the ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.
  • A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
  • A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
  • Project management certificate and or degree

Hours of work: 75 hours bi-weekly 
Salary: In accordance with the Hay Management Pay Plan
