Fraser Health – Neonatal Intensive Care Nurses – Multiple Positions
Fraser Health is one of Canada's largest and fastest growing health authorities, with over 25,000 employees, 2,500 physicians and nearly 6,500 volunteers. We provide a wide range of integrated health care services to more than 1.6 million people living in communities stretching from Burnaby to White Rock to Hope. Our quality health care services range from acute care hospitals to community-based residential, home health, mental health and public health services. We are proud of the innovation, commitment, professionalism and tenacity of our physicians, employees and volunteers. More than any building, technology or program, it's our people who make Fraser Health distinct. We invite you to join us and contribute to world class, integrated NICU services at these hospitals:
NICU Services are provided 24/7 and are comprised of four hospitals: Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Burnaby General Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital and Surrey Memorial Hospital that together deliver over 15,000 babies per year and care for the highest NICU population in the province. As of 2015, nearly 40% of births in BC have come from the Fraser Health communities. Recent infrastructure support includes major renovations in the millions of dollars for sites in New Westminster, Surrey and Abbotsford. Surrey Memorial Hospital now has a dedicated regional Perinatal Centre. As NICU Services continue to expand and improve, this position offers you the opportunity to provide care to high risk newborns, participate and attend high risk deliveries, collaborate with other health care professionals and conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and identify risk factors.
As a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse, you will have graduated from an approved school of Nursing with recent one year experience in a neonatal tertiary unit. You must also have completion of a post basic Neonatal Nursing Program and current Basic Rescuer (Level C) Certificate and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certificate. You must be eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (www.crnbc.ca) in order to qualify for these opportunities. We have positive and caring work environments where you can bring your passion for NICU nursing and be part of our team. Fraser Health offers you a comprehensive benefits package that includes four weeks' vacation after one year, family extended health and dental coverage, and a defined-benefit pension plan.
Relocation assistance of up to $5,000 may be provided.
